Meta is looking for a Policy Programs Manager for the Benelux countries based in Amsterdam. Working as part of the Benelux Policy team, you will be a key contributor in developing and driving a thoughtful discussion on tech policies across the Benelux countries. In this role you will manage key policy initiatives and campaigns across the region. Responsibilities will therefore include project management, building a new events/initiatives programme that both leverage the extraordinary reach of Meta to promote social, economic, and cultural impact in all Benelux countries but also discuss the dilemmas and challenges Meta face everyday. You must have the ability to rally colleagues from across the company to scale, run & measure programmes and investments. The ideal candidate will bring to the table experience in working with policymakers/stakeholders/civil servants, organising events, project management skills and an overall interest in tech policy. You should have a clear understanding of the policy challenges Meta is facing and ambitious and creative ideas about how to solve these. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in politics who is able to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders to Meta and you will need to feel comfortable in managing multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.

Policy Programs Manager (Benelux) Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage policy initiatives across the region in cooperation with the rest of the policy team and colleagues from communication, marketing and the business side.
  • Be part of the strategy work for building relationships with policy makers, civil society and academics.
  • Help build, manage & maintain meaningful relationships with key organisations in the Benelux.
  • Collaborate and ensure consistency in approach to Meta’s policy initiatives across the Benelux countries.
  • Build creative partnerships that we do not already have.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A degree or advanced degree in a related field
  • Keen interest in and knowledge of global policy issues, technology, politics and government.
  • Experience in working with political systems and institutions.
  • Experience with analytical and creative approach to policy issues, as well as a cross functional team player
  • Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously and smoothly
  • Passion for Meta and its mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively while owning the project from ideation to execution
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Fluency in English & Dutch, French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel
