As Senior Public Affairs Manager you represent Check’s interests in a dynamic political-societal environment. You help tell Check’s story of making cities more liveable by providing the quickest way around town.

You are the bridge between Check and relevant (governmental) external stakeholders at local and national level. You are responsible for setting up and maintaining contacts with politicians, policy makers, third parties and other important partners in the Netherlands. You are well informed of political and administrative developments.

You will work in our Public Affairs team together with a Public Affairs Manager. Together you will formulate, manage and execute our Public Affairs strategy and notify internal stakeholders of relevant developments.

The role.

• Develop and activate Check’s strategic Public Affairs approach in line with longterm company goals and business interests.
• Build and maintain constructive relations with politicians, civil servants and third parties
• Advocate Check’s interests and influence public policy to enhance Check’s ability to operate
• Represent Check at relevant events, meetings and conferences, and maintaining close contacts in relevant networks
• Monitoring of relevant policy developments and trends on local, national and European level
• Inform internal decision-making processes with external (policy) developments
• Proactively engage in press relations to amplify Check’s mission and vision

Requirements.

• 4+ years of working experience in public affairs, account management, public policy, government, consultancy, strategic communication mobility policy
• Affinity with (shared) mobility is a plus
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English, and can communicate effectively in both languages at a professional level
