I am partnered with a global pharmaceutical company on a new role within their EU Market Access senior team. They are going through an exciting growth phase as a business and are looking for the above individual as part of their transformation journey that can contribute to the overall success of the organization.

The Role:

You will lead the Market Access function setting and ensuring patient access for the companies pipelined medicines within agreed targets and budget constraints. You will be responsible for leading the healthcare strategy and engagement anticipating and addressing opportunities and threats across Europe. Ensuring that the most optimum channels are being used to interact with payers, customers, and stakeholders to drive a cross functional approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring and executing Market Access plans at a European and national level, identifying key priorities for market access, and implementing them across Europe.
  • Develop a Market Access plan based on the regions main priorities ensuring company image, healthcare policy shaping, and disease policy shaping are taken into account
  • Represent Market Access across the entire Human Pharma function to lead the products in this space successfully.
  • Lead a team of market access individuals, ensuring they are delivering on priorities and that their work is up to the correct standard and quality. Directly responsible for their development and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a related life sciences discipline
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in Health Economics, Market Access, and Pricing
  • Additional experience in marketing and public affairs would be ideal
  • Extensive knowledge of the European healthcare system and exposure to other systems
  • Strong people management skills: Being able to build out, develop and create an effective and visionary team
  • Hands on knowledge and project expertise in pricing and contacting dynamics
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to work with external and internal stakeholders, managing and nurturing business relationships.
  • Business Fluent in English, any additional languages are preferred.
